Lesson 1 : Screenshots

Screenshots can be a powerful tool for illustrating your ideas and providing visual aids for your audience.

The Windows + Shift + S method is a way to take a screenshot of a specific part of the screen in Windows 10. When you press Shift + S, the screen will turn opaque and you’ll be able to select the area of the screen that you want to capture.

To insert a screenshot into your document, simply press the “Windows Logo Button + Shift Key + S Key” buttons together on your keyboard, the screen will turn Opaque.

Next place the pointer at desired start location, HOLD down the mouse left click and do not let it go. Drag the area required and release the mouse left click. It will capture the area needed.

Now you may use Paste or CTRL+V combo on your Microsoft Word document.

This key combination works in most Windows 10 or Windows 11 computers and laptops.

What if Windows Shift S combination keys does not work?

How can I perform a screenshot?

In this case, we can use the application which is called Snipping Tool.

It can easily be found by type Snipping Tool in the Window search box which is on the taskbar.

Open up the Snipping Tool, Click New to start selected the area on the screen.

Drag the area on the screen to screenshot. Then you may click COPY.

Finally you may use PASTE or CTRL+V to paste on your Microsoft Word Document
